2026 Outdoor Food Vendor Application Details

Apply here to be a vendor for 5th Annual Cherrydale Holiday Market in Arlington, Virginia. This is an indoor and outdoor pop-up market for handmade goods on the lower level of the Cherrydale United Methodist Church and in the parking lot. This free, family-friendly event that will be held rain or shine.

Outdoor Food Vendors

Outdoor Food Vendors will be provided with a 10 ft x 10 ft space in the Cherrydale UMC parking lot and a reserved parking spot behind their booth. Outdoor Vendors are required to bring a 10 ft x 10 ft tent and it is heavily suggested that Outdoor Vendors bring sandbags or weights for their tents. The Cherrydale Holiday Art Market will unfortunately not be able to provide tables or chairs for Outdoor Vendors. All vendors will have access to the vendor concessions area in the kitchen on the lower level of the church. 

HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS:

All Outdoor Food Vendors must apply and obtain:

- Temporary Food Establishment License from the Arlington County

Public Health Division, Environmental Health Program. All food vendors (mobile food units, one day vendors, and licensed food establishments) must submit a temporary food establishment application to sell food at the Cherrydale Holiday Market. Depending on the type of vendor, a $40 fee may be

required.

  • Mobile food units must be Arlington County licensed or apply for a mobile food unit license and Fire Prevention permit before the Cherrydale Holiday Market. Additional information about obtaining a mobile food unit license can be found on the Mobile Food Unit and Vendor Health License webpage.

  • Virginia Licensed Food Establishments must submit the temporary food license application and provide a copy of their health license.

  • One-day food service vendors must submit the temporary food license application.

  • Temporary food license applications must be submitted at least ten (10) days prior to the event (by November 6, 2024).

Cooking Devices: Per Fire Marshal regulations, grills, fryers and other cooking devices may not be placed under tents/coverings.. When using charcoal and/or wood, a metal container with a tight fitting lid for the disposal of ashes is required. Ashes shall be wet down with water before leaving them unattended or discarding.

Propane: Vendors using propane must place propane tanks in heavy-duty plastic milk crates or similar. Tanks may not be placed on the ground.

Generators: The Outdoor Food Vendor may provide their own quiet generator that emits less than 60 decibels at 50 feet. 

  • All weather-exposed wiring, connections, and junction boxes must be waterproof.

All Vendors will have access to a restroom and concessions table throughout the event. 

All Vendors are responsible for:

  • bringing any additional tables and chairs, provided they fit within their 10 ft x 10 ft space

  • paying any applicable sales tax in Arlington County for products sold

  • their own Point of Sale

SUBMISSION & ACCEPTANCE: The juried vendor application is open July 31 - August 31, 2026. Vendors who applied by August 31 will be notified no later than Tuesday, September 9.
